Real Madrid Vs Sporting Gijon, A draw for Real Madrid and Benetiz as they start their season against Sporting last night. Which means Real Madrid loss 2 important points as season get started. As the final whistle blew, score card was 0-0. There are several points which needs to be highlighted.
First Rafa start the match without James and Carvajal. Starting with Danilo was not that bad idea but when you have such power in the bank then you must use your best. First half was totally belong to Sporting as they played their heart out. Lot of missed chances and very less ball possession showed by Real Madrid players. Talking about 2nd half, Madrid players came out with very positive attitude and played their best game out there.
They tried many shots but no goal scored. Missed chances were there as Ronaldo missed very easy goal. He didn't even touch the ball but yes he slide but failed to touch the ball. Even a slighter touch would have been enough for throwing ball into post. Bale also played very well. On one occasion he managed to dribble the goal keeper but angle was so tight for him to shoot into post. That was the moment for Real Madrid CF.
Ronaldo tried manu shots but keeper managed to to save all of them. Marcelo was lost in the field. We missed his play. Tony Karoos and Modric was fantastic in the mid. Jese played like warrior and Rafa must be very happy with his performance. Ramos as usual was wall of Madrid in match.
None the less it was a draw at the end. For team like Sporting Gijon who promoted into La Liga this year, that was best performance from them. Its time for Rafa to overcome all those mistakes before season gets to some crucial stage.
